Identify Your Vise Series
The foundation of your Regal Vise is its series. The series is really easy to identify. Does the head rotate with and have a brass knob to rotate with? If yes, its a Revolution. If no, its a Medallion.
Medallion Series
Rotates smoothly but with some resistance. 360° rotation with tilt functionality. There is no brass knob to facilitate rotation.
Revolution Series
Rotates with noticeably smoother, more controlled movement. Features brass knob to facilitate rotation.
Jaw Type Identification
The jaw is the visual centerpiece of your vise and varies considerably. Match your jaw to one of these eight types:
Regular
Our most versatile jaw—perfect for small, large, and in-between. A best-seller for good reason.
Stainless Steel
Ultra-slim profile—ideal for tiny flies and finesse work.
Midge
Features a geometric tip with extra room for tying small patterns with precision.
Big Game
Designed for saltwater tyers—deep grooves securely hold large hooks.
Monster
Regal’s widest opening. Best for big hooks—note: not suitable for tying small flies.
Shank
Dual-sided design: hook grooves on one side, slot for shanks on the other.
Hook
Unique cut-out improves access at the hook bend—making precision tying faster and easier.
Tube Fly
Chuck-style head designed for tubes and shanks. Fully interchangeable between series.
Identify your Base
Your base determines where and how your vise sits. Three options are available:
Pedestal
Stands on top of your tying table. No clamping required.
Clamp
Clamps directly to the edge of your table.
